Carnival Horizon

Launched: March 28 2018

Carnival Horizon is the second of Carnival’s Vista-class ships, and was to be delivered by her builder, Fincantieri, on March 28 2018.[4][5]

The ship has a tonnage of 133,500 GT and a capacity of 3,960 guests.[6]

Carnival Horizon got coin and was floated-out on March 10, 2017. Sea trials were completed in November 2017.

Like her Sister Ship, Carnival Vista, which entered service in May 2016, Carnival Horizon will feature SkyRide, an IMAX Theatre, Alchemy Bar and Carnival’s Seuss at Sea programme. She will also have some unique new attractions. She will feature Dr. Seuss’s Water Works, an onboard water park which It will be a first for the company. It will have similar stateroom options including Havana staterooms on the Promenade deck that have balcony, and easy access to the Havana pool area and bar. Family Harbor suites will also be included on the Horizon, which are part of a dedicated family area with its own lounge and concierge service.

Recently, the company announced it would feature a new food & pub offering called the Pig and Anchor Smokehouse and Brewhouse. Another collaboration between Carnival Cruise Line and Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri. The smokehouse will feature Exclusive Guy Fieri BBQ Creations, and four craft beers brewed exclusively at Smokehouse|Brewhouse on Carnival Horizon: ParchedPig Smoked Porter, ParchedPig Farmhouse Ale, ParchedPig Toasted Amber Ale, and ParchedPig West Coast IPA. Carnival Horizon will offer three new Playlist Productions shows: Soulbound, Celestial Strings, and Vintage Pop. The fourth show, Amor Cubano: A Caribbean Dance Romance, is already performed on Carnival Vista. (subject to change)

Carnival Horizon will perform a series of cruises from Europe before coming to the United States. In the USA, she will operate summer cruises to the Caribbean and Bermuda from New York before moving to Miami, where she will do year-round cruises to the Caribbean, replacing Carnival Vista.

American musician and actress, Queen Latifah, will serve as the godmother to the ship.

The ship was delivered on 28 March 2018.
